PSVita Malaysia Launch

The date is 9th May 2012… the Dragon year!! The place is Pavilion Kuala Lumpur! The product is the “next generation of portable gaming”. No, that’s not the official tag line, but after what I’ve seen… touch… feel… & played… HOT DAMN!! As the CoD MW fans would say hehe!

Now, I present to you the PlayStation Vita (WiFi Model) in black.

SONY Computer Entertainment Hong Kong ( SCEH) took the whole centre court & the main entrance here at Pavilion KL. The pics will speak the thousands of words to you… including the whole line of PS Vita promo girls 🙂

The event kicked off with the opening gambit that can be viewed here on our facebook video. The first speech was by Mr. Tetsuhiko Yasuda, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Asia. Next were the 2 special guest that were not announced. It was a very pleasant surprise!

Anyways, special guest 1 was UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss game producer Mr. Mark Rogers, who is also Senior Producer – Foster City SCEA.

Special guest 2 was REALITY FIGHTERS game producer Mr. Mitsuo Hirakawa, who is also Senior Producer – SCEE XDev.

The PS Vita enables a revolutionary combination of immersive gaming & social connectivity within a real world context, transforming every aspect of a user’s daily life into an entertainment experience. To deliver the unparalleled portable gaming experiences, a wide variety of titles are confirmed for the launch date release (37), with several more titles expected to be released later.

The titles marked with the * have the special 20% discount at this launch event,  for all Sony Entertainment Network members. This also includes Dark Quest Alliance which is not listed above.

PS Vita users will also have easy access & greater opportunity to communicate with friends through the addition of social networking services widely used around the globe. The PS Vita also allows users to share photos with friends, peers & fellow gamers!!

The suggested retail price is RM1,099.

The Value-Pack-1 that comes with Uncharted: Golden Abyss + 4GB Memory Card + Accessories Pack = RM1,399 

The Value-Pack-2 that comes with Modnation Racers: Road Trip + 4GB Memory Card + Accessories Pack = RM1,299

All purchases during this launch will get special / limited PS Vita goodies like – T-shirt (very nice), sun glasses, bag, headphones, trainers etc.  Accessories pack contains – case, protective film, cleaning cloth, game card case & wrist strap.
