Who are SCANDAL?
Also spelt スキャンダル Sukyandaru & stylized as SCANDAL.
SCANDAL was formed in August 2006 with 4 high school girls who went to the same vacal & dance school in Osaka called Caless Vocal & Dance School. As they became closer friends they decided to write & play their own songs. And so they juggled regular school lives & being the singer, song writers… & band! They started out performing in the streets of Shiroten in Osaka Castle Park on the weekends and that lead to offers to gig at clubs & music halls. The band’s name originates from a sign near Studio Brotherz, which is the jamming studio they practiced at in their early days. The studio is on the 6th floor of a building shared with other businesses, namely adult shops. The girls decided to choose the biggest sign among shops, “SCANDAL” (スキャンダル), as the name for their band.
