ANIMAX LIVE! Concert Malaysia 2015
Oh wow! Not only is the ANIMAX Carnival back in Malaysia for 2015 but ANIMAX is bringing a whole new chapter to the event… and hopefully, a whole new era of music too!
They just dropped this bomb (news) on Friday that not only is ANIMAX having their usual guest music performer but 3. Our hopes is that this is just the mini installment of what will shape up to be a full fledged ANIMAX MUSIX concert!! huhu!
SO WHAT’S HAPPENING?
SO WHO IS ON THE CONCERT LIST?
ELISA made her music debut in October 2007, with “euphoric field”, the opening theme song of ef – a tale of memories..
Since then, ELISA has also performed theme songs for notable anime such as VALVRAVE The Liberator, The World God Only Knows, The irregular at magic high school, and A Certain Scientific Railgun.
[I saw her debut performance at AFASG13. She is tall, soft spoken and demure… but when she started singing… OH MY! She had gusto to blow the crowd back a few feet with her stunning voice. Back then she had a limited song list but now, much has changed.]
Mami Kawada is known for her music style of fusing rock with trance. Her first anime song release was for “Please Teacher!” back in 2002. Since then, she has been performing theme songs of notable animes such as Hayate the Combat Butler, Shakugan no Shana, and Tokyo Ravens.
May’n, a household name within the anime music scene. She has been regularly invited to perform at large anime concerts and festivals across Asia. Notable for being the singing voice of Sheryl Nome from “Macross Frontier”. Other hit anime theme songs performed by May’n includes Btooom!, Accel World, and Inari, Kon Kon, Koi Iroha.
[You can’t really get enough of May’n. She’s an amazing artist and just a fun person to be with. ANIMAX Carnival 2013 was so special for the fans as they were allowed so close to her in her Q&A session & performance. And I’m not just meaning her local fans but her fans who flew down from Japan to Malaysia for that performance!]
Firstly, a big thank you to ANIMAX, the artist managers and sponsors for making this happen. Malaysia is VERY hungry for J-POP or J-ROCK music but so far it has been most unfortunate to have found “FAKE” event organizers, con-men and other opportunist who are incapable of working hard but want to exploit the passionate fans.
I know who you are and I remember! You fellas might not feel anything by what you have done and generally people forget very quickly… but to shed some light on the bigger picture – you KILLED the chance for a whole country to enjoy J-POP / J-ROCK concerts for years to come. We may get a break here & there but we have not truly recovered. I worked so hard for many years trying to make more things happen for this community only to be left in a worst position than when it began.
Thankfully, all things heal in time. Some maybe longer than others but all things heal in time. So for me, this concert is a sign of hope that things may be the beginning to change.
To the organizers and the security team for the concert, GET READY! The entire shopping mall is going to be ROCKING on Sunday, 29 March 2015 from 3pm!!
To our guest artist and managers from Japan – Welcome to Malaysia! And let me introduce you to the EXTREMELY energetic and passionate Malaysia Fans!!
To those going – Have fun guys! It’s time to celebrate and enjoy some ROCKING music. Watch out for one another and be courteous to the person next to you.
The Captain – signing off with lotsa love!
